The Event Coordinator is an entry-level position that reports directly to our Assistant Director of Marketing. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of the College’s marketing plan by handling key day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to our website, marketing materials, collateral inventory and event plans. Some of the main responsibilities of this person will be the facilitation of Admissions events across all three campuses, coordinating volunteers across the college and executing each event plan. The Event Coordinator will also work with the Marketing and Admissions teams to facilitate the procurement of recruitment materials including print and physical items. The Event Coordinator will work across departments including the IT technical team, admissions department, individual schools and other departments across the College to be an effective contributor to the team.

This position is ideal for someone with some marketing, sales or admissions experience, an understanding of important marketing concepts, strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, inquisitive spirit, meticulous organization, desire to learn and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Recent college graduates with related coursework or internships would also be considered.

Examples of Duties:

  • Coordinate Admissions events execution, including but not limited to:
    • Staff/faculty assignments
    • Student volunteers
    • Invitations, communications and collateral
    • Surveys and reporting
    • On campus partners in Catering and Facilities
  • Event budgeting
  • Collaborate with outside vendors
  • Manage inventory for Admissions marketing collateral
  • Work cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors
  • Operate within the set departmental budget, with appropriate tracking and benchmarking
  • Track and report on marketing performance metrics
  • Work across departments to achieve marketing goals
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as requested

Required Skills

  • 1-2 years experience working on events and event coordination
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Knowledge of CRM systems a plus, especially Slate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Business, Technical Writing or a related field
