Job Summary:

The School of Health and Natural Sciences at Mercy University is seeking passionate, dedicated and experienced Anatomy and Physiology instructors to join our adjunct faculty.

 

This position will be primarily located at the Mercy University Dobbs Ferry campus and the instructor will be responsible for teaching one or more in-person sections of Anatomy and Physiology lab and/or lectures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Candidates with a record of excellent teaching at the undergraduate level are strongly preferred.
  • Experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology I or II labs and/or lectures to undergraduate students strongly preferred. 
  • Commitment to working with a diverse population of undergraduate students.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required
  • Strong computer skills required.  Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly with BlackBoard, as well as teleconferencing software, particularly Zoom and BlackBoard Collaborate, strongly preferred.
  • Experience teaching online preferred.

 

 

Education Requirements:

  • M.S. in Anatomy and Physiology or a related discipline, required. 
  • Ph.D. in Anatomy and Physiology or a related discipline preferred;

 

Physical/Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policies
