Mercy University is seeking applicants for clinical teaching opportunities in Nursing at our Bronx and Dobbs Ferry campuses.

These positions require the ability to teach clinical instruction in the generic nursing program in the following clinical areas: Fundamentals, Pediatric, Parent Child, Medical Surgical, Psychiatric, and Community Health clinical experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking adjunct teaching opportunities who wish to teach up to two clinical courses per semester in a culturally diverse setting, when courses are available. Course assignments are dependent upon the needs of the College each semester.

Adjunct faculty are not eligible for relocation assistance. 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience is required
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical instruction and mentorship
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

 Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) recommended; national certification in a clinical specialty area preferred
  • Current, unencumbered New York State RN license required

Compensation is based on a semester and calculated on a semi-monthly pay cycle.
