Mercy College seeks an Assistant Director of Recruitment. This is a highly visible position responsible for increasing awareness and building enthusiasm for Mercy College through student recruitment initiatives, outreach and communication, and specialized events. The Assistant  Director develops partnerships with high schools, counselors, and local college preparatory organizations as well as manages a team of recruiters responsible for freshmen admissions. The Assistant Director oversees the daily operations of the Dobbs Ferry campus freshmen team including the recruitment calendar, campus tours, schedules, etc. The Assistant Director generates inquiries from prospective students that convert to enrolled students. 70% on road recruitment activities. While generating interest and excitement for the Mercy College experience, this position will focus on recruitment efforts for the territories that the Dobbs Ferry recruitment team are responsible for.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem solving, coaching, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Strong and inspirational communication skills, vibrant personality, attention to detail, and strong problem solving skills are essential
  • Oversee daily operations for a staff
  • Demonstrated evidence of sales orientation, creativity and enthusiasm
  • Possess an abundance of enthusiasm and maintain a positive disposition
  • Ability to demonstrate competitive nature, self-direction, motivation and a sense of urgency to achieve goals
  • Proven resiliency in maintaining a spirited approach to recruitment
  • -Computer proficiency in MS Office and Outlook required and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to travel on a daily basis and work weekends and evenings
