Calling all passionate soccer enthusiasts! Mercy University, located in the vibrant town of Dobbs Ferry, is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our Athletics team as an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach on a part-time basis.
As a member of our esteemed coaching staff, you will have the opportunity to shape the minds and skills of our talented student-athletes, instilling in them the values of teamwork, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Working alongside our experienced Head Coach, you will play a crucial role in developing game strategies, conducting engaging training sessions, and nurturing the growth of our players both on and off the field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of comprehensive training programs tailored to enhance players' technical, tactical, and physical abilities.
- Contribute to the development of game-day strategies and in-game coaching decisions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, resilience, and a commitment to academic excellence.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes, supporting their personal and professional growth.
- Collaborate with the coaching staff, athletic trainers, and academic advisors to ensure a holistic approach to student-athlete development.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a strong background in soccer coaching and player development.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring female athletes at the collegiate or high-level competitive youth level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- A deep understanding of the game's tactics, strategies, and current trends.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all student-athletes.
