Position Summary
The Office of the Provost is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Budget Analyst to provide administrative and transactional support to the Director of Financial Planning and Academic Operations. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain valuable experience in higher education finance and business operations.
The Junior Budget Analyst will be responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining electronic records, assisting with account monitoring, and supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
• Submit and track purchase order (PO) requests, vendor invoices, reimbursements, and other payment-related documentation.
• Process employee, faculty, and stipend payments according to established policies and deadlines.
• Reconcile monthly credit card transactions and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with the submission and processing of faculty and staff travel reimbursements.
• Review and coordinate catering orders in accordance with budget and institutional guidelines.
• Perform account and transaction-level reviews to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
• Provide administrative support for the Academic Affairs student worker hiring process within the applicant tracking system (PageUp).
• Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic files and budget-related records.
• Monitor departmental budgets and place office supply orders as needed.
• Assist in generating basic financial summaries, spreadsheets, and internal reports.
• Respond to routine inquiries regarding financial processes and transaction statuses.
• Provide general administrative support to the Financial Planning and Academic Operations team.
• Other duties as assigned to support Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities to execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to self -assess learning needs and seek guidance and training independently.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with financial and administrative systems used in higher education (e.g., Banner, Workday).
• Prior administrative or transactional experience in a business or academic setting.
