Job Summary:

A lab assistant for the PA Program’s anatomy lab is highly specialized, often bridging the gap between faculty and a large class of up to 70 students. The role blends deep anatomical knowledge with teaching, professionalism, and lab-specific technical skills. They have advanced training and expertise on the Anatomage table, and advanced knowledge of anatomy, particularly as seen on a digital platform. This specialized skill set is essential for performing the role of lab assistant in a virtual anatomy lab.

Function independently during Anatomy class, assuming a quasi-leadership role under the supervision of faculty.

Work closely with groups of students and answer any questions to ensure that they complete the assignments created by the professor.

Tutor our students on the Anatomage table outside normal lab hours, providing students with a strong foundation in essential gross anatomy.

Calm, approachable demeanor in a high-pressure learning environment

Enthusiasm for teaching and helping others succeed

Managing time efficiently during fast-paced lab periods.

Ability to explain complex 3-D relationships clearly and accurately

Skilled in small-group facilitation

Comfortable answering questions on the spot and adapting explanations to different learning styles

Providing constructive feedback to students

 

Preferred Experience:

Prior teaching, tutoring or peer instruction experience

 

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement: High school diploma, and matriculation in a baccalaureate program with at least 60 earned undergraduate credits.
  • Coursework must include general biology as well as a strong foundation in upper-level study of human anatomy

The Residential Coordinator will work closely with the professional staff to create and contribute to the enhancement of an on-campus living and learning environment conducive to student success. Reporting to the Associate Director of Residential Life (AD), the Residential Coordinator is a part-time live-in position at Dorm34 under a 10-month contract from August 2026 to May 2027.
