Job Summary:

Mercy University invites applications for a full-time, multi-year, non-tenure-track faculty position in Management within the School of Business. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 24 credits per academic year and to provide leadership for the University’s Management Program and adult learner–focused initiatives. Leadership responsibilities may be supported through course release and/or additional compensation, consistent with university policy.

This position emphasizes effective teaching, student engagement, academic service, and program coordination in support of the University’s mission and commitment to student success.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate Business related courses, including honors-level coursework, as assigned
  • Teach in-person during the day and evenings, as required, across multiple campuses (DF/MT/BX), and teach online in both asynchronous and synchronous formats
  • Assist with the development and ongoing review of curriculum and learning outcomes
  • Support program-level assessment and continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with faculty and administrators to support the effective operation of the Business School
  • Engage in School and University committee service, as appropriate
  • Assist with student recruitment and retention efforts
  • Support the development of employers, alumni, and community relationships to enhance internships and applied learning opportunities
  • Perform additional program coordination and service responsibilities, as assigned

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Academic and/or professional background in Business Administration or a closely related business discipline
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in business or a related field and at least two years of teaching experience in higher education
  • Experience with course design, curriculum development, and online instruction
  • Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching and advising

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with academic program coordination or assessment preferred

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Business or a closely-related field required, combined with substantial professional experience
  • PhD, DBA, or other terminal degree in Business Administration or a closely related field strongly preferred
  • Relevant professional certifications or credentials are a plus
  • Scholarship expectations are teaching- and practice-focused
