Job Summary:

The Assistant Studio Manager assists the Studio Manager with program needs and prepares the facilities for courses and all program activities. In addition, the Assistant Studio Manager provides daily technical assistance to students and faculty including weekly training workshops as needed.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Manage Music Facilities on Nights/ Weekends
  • Assist Studio Manager with Managing and coordinating studio operations, student staff, facilities scheduling, security and monitoring of the program’s labs and studios including the development of associated policies, procedures, training manuals and regular communication with program constituents
  • Assist Studio Manager with Managing technical design, upgrades, updates, purchasing, installation and maintenance, of equipment in studios & labs. Manage the organization, storage, and records of all inventory of equipment and supplies for the program’s studios and labs
  • Provide tours and information for prospective students as needed
  • Provide technical services for campus concerts
  • Daily scheduling of studio access
  • Daily technical assistance to students
  • Daily preparation of labs and studios, maintenance and equipment set-up
  • Frequent troubleshooting of technical problems in studios and labs
  • Weekly studio and lab hardware and software maintenance
  • Update inventory database as needed

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Three years of music and audio software operation experience
  • Three years of recording studio operation experience
  • One year Audio system design and installation experience

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in music technology or related field required
