The School of Health and Natural Sciences at Mercy University invites qualified candidates for a full time, 9 month, multiple year track Clinical Lab Instructor of Anatomy & Physiology in the Department of Natural Sciences beginning September 1, 2025
This position primarily focuses on teaching excellence in the undergraduate Anatomy & Physiology laboratories. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate laboratory teaching, impactful service to the University community, and mentoring of undergraduate students. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience with innovative approaches for promoting student success such as: project-based learning (PBL) experiences, curriculum development, encouraging classroom inclusivity, high-impact pedagogical practices, experience with Anatomage Tables, and experience mentoring peer tutors in labs. We seek faculty who prioritize DEI goals, who welcome opportunities to engage with diverse students and colleagues, who incorporate inclusive pedagogical practices into their lab teaching, and who are committed to ensuring that all students succeed. We welcome applications from candidates with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment as well as the willingness to commit to following the pedagogical protocols outlined by the Health Science Department.
Primary work responsibilities will include:
Candidates with previous experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly with BlackBoard and teleconferencing software, particularly Zoom and BlackBoard Collaborate, are preferred.
This is an opportunity to join the School of Health and Natural Sciences with undergraduate programs in biology, clinical laboratory science, communication disorders, exercise science, occupational therapy assistant (AAS degree), and veterinary technology and 4 accredited graduate health professional programs (communication disorders, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies).
