The Research and Grants Manager will provide key high-level administrative support for the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, Research, and Academic Initiatives, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), and the Institutional Review Board (IRB). This person will contribute to productivity and effectiveness in these offices by establishing and enhancing systems and processes for data collection and reporting as well as policy compliance; organizing events for presentation and development of student and faculty research; assisting in grant and funding discovery; supporting the work of the IRB to ensure compliance with relevant and emerging regulations and related risk management issues; and preparation of workshop materials for grant recipients, IRB applicants, and others engaging with grants and research-related pursuits. This position provides an opportunity for professional growth for a person willing to develop or enhance grant writing and research management skills. ? The Manager will have or develop an understanding of (a) grant-making and grant-writing and (b) the IRB process and the role that process plays in ensuring protection of the rights, welfare, and well-being of subjects involved in research.
